Sit-in

Today I did my first sit-in at a pond. Nadine had reliably seen a grey wagtail on her commute over several days, so while Tilian was at sports, I used the time to settle down by a quiet stretch of water, with dead trees and slightly flowing water.

I did not lock the ISO range of the R5 yet. I expected shooting manual with locked-in aperture and shutter speed would give enough room for the R5 to choose the right ISO level, but I reckon I did not use the right metering setting and the ISO was pushed up to 12800. Next tweak: review the metering and fix the auto ISO range. The redstart would have turned out a lot better with a lower ISO. Objectively the grey wagtail too but I will settle with ISO 6400 per Jaspers recommendation and test different metering settings.
